Access Perl Modules

I am redoing a web system that was originally done in PERL. Now I know PERL but I don't want to use it any more.

I was wondering if there was a way to acces the PERL modules from within PHP. That way I can use the modules that are written correctly and don't have to rewrite ALL the code.
