Okay, I've got kind of an odd problem going on here. I am working on a site that has a database of companies that advertise with this site. One page is basically just a listing of each company's logo, each one linking to their individual "profile". Right now all of the logos are either gif or jpeg files. The client wants the ability to upload flash files. The ability to upload and display the flash files is no problem. The issue that I'm having is linking the flash files to the individual company profiles. No matter what I try I can't make the flash animations clickable. I don't have the ability to edit the individual swf files b/c I want this process to be completely automated. I can't just give the client the link and have him code it into the animation b/c the link to the company profile is dynamically generated. I've tried every combination of HTML and JavaScript that I can think of to link the animations but nothing is working. Do I have any options in PHP? Possibly editing the swf file on the fly? Can anyone think of any other options aside from PHP? I'm stuck here and really need to get this project finished. Any help would be appreciated.

I've no experience of editing a swf with PHP but what I would do in this situation is position a layer over the flash movie.

Inside this layer, place a totally transparent gif (to the same dimensions of the flash movie) and but a hyperlink on that.

It's probably not the result that you wanted but it will work just the same (provided there is no extra functionality within the flash movie such as menus)

I've actually already tried that approach. The problem is that Flash doesn't allow anything to be placed layered over top of the animation, unless there is some work around that I don't know about?

Any other ideas?
