I am really stuck on this and have been for a good few days.
I am making an "Online Gallery" website.

My problem is as follows:
You submit images to the database via a submission form.
This form takes in the following.
Image_name:
Username: (populated from users table)
Medium: (Populated from Medium table)
Date:
Pic_path: (image path)
Thum_path: (thumbnail path)
Category:
Sub Category:
My problem lies with Category and Sub Category.
Category and subcategory are related in the fact that one category can have many sub categories.
I would like One image to have more than one subcategory if necessary.
E.g: A photo of a person could be in
Classic (cat)
Portrait (sub cat)
it could also be in
Digital (cat)
photo (sub cat)
Make sense?
Is there a way in which on the submission screen, i could add many sub cats to an image.
Maybe i could have another button next to sub cat, and that could add the sub cat to a var on the same page, so i could add as many as i require....then submit the whole form once completed?
Could someone take an interest and give me some ideas?
