search functions

Hi, just wonder if anyone know of a good tutorial that explaines how to make an "advanced search" function for narrowing a search in my Mysql database. There are al lot of "search engine" tutorials out there that explains how to search by using a keyword, but I can't see how to convert theese scripts into a multiple choice search.

As in dropdown boxs whose content is refined depending on what is selected in other boxs?

exactly, for instance like the one you will find i in a webpage that offers used cars for sale

There are quite a few used car websites and quite a few different ways of doing things. Could you be a little more specific?

well, you push the advanced search button, and up pops a form with dropdown menus and/or tic boxes that let you narrow your search to ie "fords", "1995 to 2000" model, min price "10000" max price "15000". You then hit the submit button, and instead of displaying all of the table content, just info that holds your criteria is displayed. Would be greatful for any info about tutorials that explains how this is done, or any hint of how it is done with php and mysql
