[Resolved] html image tag in php possible?

Hi, I downloaded a shop system written in php. Now, I want to alter the header and found the corresponding html code inside a php file. I replaced the header table with one of my own. The browser will show the table properly, however, the images are not loaded. I have tried all kinds of alterations to the <img src=...> tag, but nothing worked.

I want to keep the images in the header static, so there is no need to include that part into any scripts that interact with the database.

What do I need to do to incorporate images within html which is incorporated into php?

Whats the error your getting???
That should work I just tested it out!
Make sure you are not opening a php tag inside another one!
If you have <?php at the top of your page you cannot have another one inside that tag, from what you paste above it looks like to me you have a html script with some PHP inside it and not the other way around???
If you dont know what the hell im going on about paste the whole script of the page and i'll have a look!

Hi, from looking at the script It looks like the HTML is outside the PHP code therefore all you should need to use HTML. Make sure the image path is correct and that should work. Do all the other pictures on the site work?

The images that came with the shop all work. Only the ones in my header add on don't. I work with Quanta as an html editor and it has a "view" function. In that I get the php scripts as text and the html coding as displayed in a browser. That will show me the additional header properly with the images. Thus, the path is correct.

I have seen this shop with many header variations in the net. I might just inquire further there. The thing is, I would like to know, how and why things work with php and html, but the php tutorials seem to have their main/only emphasis on scripts only interacting with databases, not the mixture of classical html and php ...

Any hint on a tutorial in that area?

Is there not a message board on the oscommerce site???
As far as I know if you have a PHP script and want to display HTML in that script you use the echo function like:

echo '<img src="../image.gif">';
?>

And if you have a HTML script and want to display PHP within the html such as variables you use:
<input type"text" value"<?php $variable ?>">

Got the basic idea. Have just tried it in my "hello world" script from the first part of the php tutorial and it works there.

You are right, I should go to the shop forum and search there.
