This is what I have so far and it does half the job...
preg match('/^[A-z\\.]+\\@work.org$/',$_POST['email']);
What I really want it to do is to make sure the e-mail address is in the format of forname.surname@work.org. As it stands it will only accept e-mail addresses in the work.org domain but it doesn't care how the name is formatted before the @ so joe@work.org works as well as joe.bloggs@work.org.
Any suggestions?
preg match('/^[a-z]+\\.[a-z]+\@work.org$/',$_POST['email']);
how about that. My last good deed for the night if it works. 😉
[edit - dang the backslash needs to be doubled on this forum - sorry]
And work it did.
Good Job! 😉 Still trying to get my hear around Preg_match as well as it's preg_ brothers and sisters. powerful but complex at first.
