[Resolved] preg match

This is what I have so far and it does half the job...

preg match('/^[A-z\\.]+\\@work.org$/',$_POST['email']);

What I really want it to do is to make sure the e-mail address is in the format of [e-mail]. As it stands it will only accept e-mail addresses in the work.org domain but it doesn't care how the name is formatted before the @ so [e-mail] works as well as [e-mail].

Any suggestions?
