Newbie DB design question

I am about to start designing an interactive web based booking system for the sailing club that I am a member of, but am not sure if I can have just 1 table or if I need several.

The fields which need to be included are as follows:-

Pre entered / populated
Date
Event

User entered
OOD
Safety Boat Driver
Team1
Team2
Galley Supervisor
Galley Team 1
Galley Team 2

Each of the user entered fields need to be updated independently of each other.

Should I have 1 table, 9 tables somewhere inbetween or more?

I should be OK once I have this bit sorted I should be OK.
