Can anybody recommend a good log file analysis software program?
I am familiar with AWStats. I downloaded the zip file the other day. AWStats is written in Perl (I am familiar with PHP, not Perl). All I've got is a shared hosting. The installation instructions for AWStats seems to be geared toward a dedicated server hosting. AWStats seems to be more than I need.
There is another program called "Webalizer." The Webalizer web site says that Webalizer is written in C. You download the program and run the program on your desktop. That's a good way to do it but I crashed my Windows program one time so I'm kind of particular about what software I install on my desktop.
Is anyone familiar with Webalizer? Are there any recommendations or suggestions about Webalizer?
Actually, when (and hopefully if) my web site gets enough traffic to user a heavier package like AWStats I can hire a programmer that knows Perl to install it.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
