mcrypt for win32 - manual link broken

would someone please give me a (working) link to the mcrypt binaries for win32? the link in the manual is refusing connections, and a google turned up negative.

download cygwin and the source code for mcrypt and compile it using cygwin 🙂

as far as I know is that cygwin is a unix evoirment for win32, but also it has compiling capabilities to allow it to compile GCC? code into win32 binarys. I have not done this tho. The only other thing i know is that it might have to link to the cygwin library ( DLL ). I hope this helps 🙂

and by the way when installing cygwin the best mirror is down at the bottem tis a http mirror its " http://www.online-mirror.com " in the setup

i know i could do that .. but i have tried to reign in cygwin (and im pretty competent on nix) but no luck getting much right... i really dont want to go through that again shudders*

just wondering if anyone knows of another mirror?

its not that the link is broken........... if you manually go from the mcrypt ftp folder to the win32 folder there is a readme. This readme states

The win32 binary is not available. Use the cygwin
compiler to compile.

Im wondering if there is even a win32 binary?

Im trying to port mcrypt but I seem not to have all the headers I need for unix :S anyone know where a huge tar of headers is?

i think you're only looking at the first link on the man page... i meant the one pointing to ftp.emini.dk. i got in through anonymous FTP, but what i wanted isn't (never was??) there anymore. i'm using php5, a day-old snap, and what i'm really looking for are the algorythm and mode support files.

i found a precompiled version of libmcrypt 2.5.3 (incl. all the cipher/mode dlls) but the php5 changelog says i need 2.5.6 + 🙁
