spider writen in php

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question.

Do any one know where can I find sample of php spider (search engine) it can be very basic.

www.hotscripts.com is often suggested as a place to look. www.phpclasses.org also exists, the PEAR might have soemthing, ditto Zend, ditto PHPBuilder, and of course PHP.net itself has a links page (URL available in this forum's FAQ) that lists a bunch of sites (including all of the above). And of course if they all fail (and even if they don't) there's still the good old Google to help you out.
