copy function() error !!!!

Hello,

I have this little script:
$file1 = "images/6.jpg";
$file2 = "newimages/6_1jpg";

copy ($file1,$file2);
echo "Done. $a";

I have been trying to copy images but the image was not copy to the new directory and I got following error message

Warning: copy(http://www.????.net/images/g/gb_6.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory

The newimages folder permission has been changed as read/write (chmod 777).

Any ideas ?

The error code says that PHP can't find the source file $file1

If you post the actual code and the actual error message, we can better help you figure this out.
