i was wondering if u could get infomation from a excel or access database file????

i know you can do it in asp but im trying to learn php and i want to use a access file to get tables from it and get the php to generate it a table with the info in it

is it possable and does anyone know where i can get tutorial on how to do this or could someone tell me how.
