creating new files on my computer with PHP

I am running the latest version of PHP standalone on my computer. I am parsing flat data files. I would like to write some files to my hard drive, but I am running into permission problems. I can read all the data I want. I can parse data into a database online. But I have been unable to create a new file.

I am running Windows XP Professional.

Any suggestions?

Can you show us your code your using. Probably not a permissions problem as Windows allows all files to be writable. But have you used w+ in the fopen
