hi,
i am a student and i am currently planning a project for my last stage. The project involves converting a current MS Access DB into a MySQL DB and hosting it on a company's web space. PHP will also be used to create a web interface that interacts with the DB. The web host supports MySQL and PHP however im not sure how to go about converting the Access DB to MySQL. Should i do the conversion locally with navicat then somehow move the tables to the web hosts' MySQL server?

Could someone please explain some steps that i can take to perform this convertion.

youre on the right track

convet the data localy then export to an SQL file load the SQL FILE with the dbmanagement tool (mostly phpmyadmin)of youre provider and execute it
