Hey how's it going. I need some help searching a string. The string coming into question comes from a form. It is simply a textbox. Variable: $text. Original I know. :-D
Let me give you an example of some possible text they might type: "/chads2k2 Do you know where my socks are?"
I want the system to search for the / ... then take the next character(s) until there is a space. Hold the name into a variable and then the rest of the original $text variable be put into another variable. Not clear is it? Ok let me give a graphic of it.
User Types: "/chads2k2 Hey!"
$namevariable = "chads2k2";
$messagevariable = "Hey!";
How do I get that to happen? I am dual posting in the coding section just fyi. I just would love to know how to do that. I am almost positive it can be done. Thanks so much community!!! LOL.
