using same sessions on different site

hard to explain but here goes

i am using a session on my site, that i want to use on another site and have that as an include in my main site.

eg

user enters "mydomain.com" in a form and presses submit.
this then registers the session with mydomain.com in it

the results then come on the page and display the data.

Problem is:

the session works fine for the first check (from my site)
but i am trying to have an include that runs off another site dispaying the results, only those from the other end

I cant seam to get the session moving accross

Any idea?

session info is usually stored in cookies. cookies are stored on a per-domain basis. Meaning each domain has a seperate cookie on your computer.

The only way I can think of around this is to store all your session info in a db and use a common userid and login. Then assign the correct session to the user based on their id.

Not sure if this is the best way to do it but it is all that comes to mind right now.
