Web Hosting

I know its not directly to do with php, however i have my site on my computer running apache and mysql using php. I also have a domain registered with 123-reg.co.uk and am wondering how i get that address to show my website on my computer. I think you have to change something in the control panel of 123-reg.co.uk,. but im unsure what i have to change. I would have posted this else where but it would let me.

I'm not sure what you're looking to do.

You wish to assign 123-reg.co.uk to point to your home computer so when people go to 123-reg.co.uk, it brings up the web site your computer is hosting?

If so, do you have a static IP address and access to the name server?

I have a static ip and wish my web site to be hosted on my own server and accessed through my domain name regsistered at 123-reg.co.uk. Im unsure what i have to do to get it working!

Your domain needs to be pointed to the static ip on you home machine...Whatever domain registration service you use has some config settings which ask for the IPs of the servers....just fill in yours
