phpmyadmin error

Hi all,

In phpMyAdmin I get the following warning:

You are using PHP 4.2.3, which has a serious bug with multi-byte strings (mbstring). See PHP bug report 19404. This version of PHP is not recommended for use with phpMyAdmin.

Does this mean I need to upgrade php?
If so how do I do this?

Depending on your installation you'll probably need to uninstall PHP and getter a later version.
