session variables and classes

Hey,

I'm using session_register for a couple of variables. Can I use them inside of a class or do I have to create a new class object and then set them equal to an object variable

$class->variable=$mysessionvariabl

in order to use them?

You can use them as you would any global variable.

Usually, I prefer to [man]serialize[/man] the object and put it into the session, then [man]deserialize[/man] to get it back out. Presto, your object and all of its state gets passed from page to page. Much more OO than using global session variables.

Also, consider using $_SESSION instead of [man]session_register[/man]. The latter depends on [man]register_globals[/man] which is not recommended. See the [man]register_globals[/man] manual page for more info.
