drawing blog content into webpage

I am learning different ways to integrate Moveable Type into my website.

I am trying to draw the content from blog/index.html (outside document root) into my index.php page.

This is what I was instructed to do:

 require "/blog/index_html";

and my errors are:

Warning: main(/blog/index_html): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\USERS\Top Notch Hosting\valleysoapbox.com\WWW\index2.php on line 126

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/blog/index_html' (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in C:\USERS\Top Notch Hosting\valleysoapbox.com\WWW\index2.php on line 126

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The answer was to remove the first "/"

require "blog/index_html";
