Retrieve data from remote server

Hi all,

I have a website. This website will http access to remote website and get the new data if userid/pass is found to be valid.

The new data is subsequently store onto my website mysql database.

All these are to be done via http.

Any ideas how i can go about doing so?

Check out [man]curl[/man]. You could use the fsocket functions too, but it would require a lot of do-it-yourself functionality building.
