XML to PHP

First of all hi to all, very nice site this !

To the problem, i am currently trying to take data from a XML data page, then compare the data from the XML with either data in a large array or an outside text file. The XML data is a would need to be an array.

I am capable of calling data in to the php file but its the working with it in an array that is causing the problems.

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend the best way to do this and how ?

If you are using the Expat parser to read the XML, then xml_parse_into_struct() is the quickest method, although it probably worth creating a more simplified array using handler functions.

www.php.net/xml has some good examples.
