turn php off, in a phpscript.

Hi i am wondering how and if, i can turn php off in a php script.

for example, in this forum, in the signature, html is turned off. is it possible to turn php off.

I am asking this because i want to allow people to use php in their header from my script.

A php script is created with their header in it, with php they can put in codes that will affevt my database.

i hope you understand this question, my english is not to good.

if you do a htmlspecialchars() then it will turn all the <'s into the # code for that character - so it won't execute the code within it. that might help.
