Session Problems

Hey guys,

Whenever I try to run a session I get the following message:

Warning: open(/tmp\sess_74ac0d196ad06b3b565dead8248f777f, O_RDWR) failed: m (2) in e:\applications\phpdev\phpdev\www\templatesite\includes\header.php on line 3

Its happened ever since my new installation, any ideas?

Sessions use temporary files to store the data... make sure you have a 'tmp' folder on E:\ that is "writable."

You could also change the location of where they are saved in the PHP.INI

What ver of Windows are you running?

Your php.ini is the problem. The php ini is pre-configured for a Unix install; Unix always has /tmp dir.

So open you php ini and change the session_save_path from /tmp to c:/temp.

That should do the trick.
