php5 + mysql

Hey

I have recently done a clean install of apache2, php5 and mysql and am still having problems getting php to recognise
the mysql extension

I noticed the sticky in the other thread and followed its instructions but im still getting the unable to load error

example

the mysql(1.4) install seems fine, and i managed to set privileges ect, and php aside from the mysql extension also seems to be working fine

I have other extensions loaded (gd2) and they also work fine.

I have been searching all round for anyone having similiar probs but cant seem to get any help.

any advice appreciated,

Did you copy the libmySQL.dll file over into the extensions folder as well. Try that than restart Apache.

Did you ever get this sorted? I'm having the same prob with win32 apache2 / PHP 5. The problem isn't specific to mysql either - other modules raise the same error 🙁

Ok in case anybody needs to know the answer to this copy php_mysql.dll & libmysql.dll to windows\system32.

Maybe that's general knowledge but it's not in the install file and it could save you an hour or two messing about...
