I hope a moderator takes a liking to this topic and sticky's it.
Ok, basically what I'd like to do is give everyone a few tips for posting that will make it easier for people to help you.
tags:
Use them for the syntax highlighting effect. This makes it much easier for others to read and interpret your code.
2. Keep it short:
There's not a single person here willing to read through 1000 lines of code in order to help you out. Slim it down to the essential parts of the code. Show where the problem most likely exists, not the whole script. If you want you can add a link to the full code in addition to the summary.
3. Tell us the error:
Don't just say that you got an error when you ran the script. When an error is returned, it gives some information about the error, such as the line and function, which may help us pinpoint the problem.
4. Be more specific:
Don't get lazy. Explain every little aspect that you think may help us to solve the problem. You can even explain it in different ways if you think it will help someone to understand.
That's all for now. I'll add more as I think of them later. Everyone feel free to add on.
