Some help with setting up PHP

I am just starting to learn PHP, and I'm not ready nor do I have to ability to go out and get a server that will support PHP, and to install it on that server and whatnot.

RIght now what I want to do is just install PHP on my home computer to practice this stuff and learn it. I have the PHP basic windows install, but I have no idea what to do with it for just setting it up on a home computer, and how to get it to recognize PHP files.

Anything, I really am getting nowhere so far.

Some help please, maybe even a place that offers free servers w/ PHP support if they even exist.

On the left, under downloads, "phpdev bundles", then version 4.23. Installs Apache, PHP, and MySQL.

And don't forget the PHP Manual. If you've got PHP set up already, all you need is a webserver, like Apache ... and it'll run on your windows box, too....
