Displaying MySQL Database Size

I am wondering how you can display a MySQL's database size on a web page? I know its possible because all things are possible with PHP! Haha, no - but really, I've seen it done. ie. statistics, etc.

How do I accomplish this task.

PS. I searched the heck out of these forums to no avail. It seems no one has inquired about this extraordinary issue.

by size what do you mean amount of rows or size in bytes

I meant in bytes or even megabytes or gigbaytes. Also what about just pulling the size of specific table? Possible?
