I have a small ecommerce site going live this week, it has been tested thoroughly but problems are of course possible despite this. I will be away this weekend and i need to be able to leave some plans behind so that a friend of mine can bring the site offline if such problems occur. If the site was hosted on a linux box with Apache then i was thinking that something like a .htaccess file, redirecting all traffic to a 'problems' page. However, the site is hosted on an NT box with IIS. As far as i can tell there is no real equivalent to .htaccess for IIS. I've seen some info on ISAPI but i'm not familiar with it. What i want is the capacity for a friend of mine to be able to FTP one page onto my server that will prevent all access to the site until any problems can be remedied. perhaps there is a php solution..?, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
