displaying random items out of a database

i am working on a shopping store site.

i want to have a part of the site where a script will display 3 items out of a database. but i want the 3 items to change on different sessions, so the user clicks refresh and the items will change to another 3. anyone any advice on how i can do this? cheers.

Give us a code snippet to work from, put a little effort in and maybe make use of words like please and you might be surprised how sarcasm can be replaced by co-operation.

Don't just expect people to write code for you. Why should we, I don't spend all day in forums but I do spend all day just about on a machiine and have learnt you get out of something what you put into it.
