Was anybody successful in running mysql_connect() to MySQL that has new authentication (41-characters) hashing? I am getting "Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client" error.
Comments on PHP help page mention that there is CLIENT_LONG_PASSWORD flag that sounds applicable - but it doesn't work.
Any ideas?
