[Resolved] Difficult Query for multiple fields in multiple rows

Hi...

I'm working on a problem with a query, and I am not sure really how to accomplish it.

What I have is a table like below:

id	|  one	|  two	| three	| four	| five	|
-------------------------------------------------
1	|  4	|  5	|  8	|  4	|  9	|
2	|  3	|  4	|  6	|  4	|  7	|
3	|  1	|  0	|  3	|  1	|  8	|
4	|  0	|  4	|  4	|  0	|  2	|

I need to capture the number of fields that have a result of "4".

So, in the example above, the result should be "6". Or, the end result anyway.

How do I construct a query that could accomplish that? I've tried mysql_num_fields, and of course that doesn't work.

i think you need a little code to do it.

$query = "SELECT * FROM table";
$result = mysql_query($query);

$count = 0;
while($data = mysql_fetch_row($result)) {
    foreach($data as $oneRow) {
        if($oneRow == 4) $count++;
    }
}

echo "There are $count 4's in the table";

Thank you. That was what I was looking for. I haven't really messed too much with "foreach" functions too much and don't have a good idea how they work with what I might need them for.
