fsockopen

I'm running into a problem with fsockopen and connecting to this ups site. It connects using SSL (so [url]https://[/url]) and then it has this strange url.

Anyone know what this error(s) mean and how I can get around it?

Read the manual page for fsockopen. And read http://us2.php.net/manual/en/transports.php

At no point is it suggested that you can use http or https protocols.

Why are you trying to open a socket manually rather than using the protocol wrappers applied to a higher-level stream function (fopen et al)?

try using cURL functions instead for connecting via https. see www.php.net/curl for more info. i know there are a few scripts out there that connect to ups. you should search for them so you can get some ideas on how they do it.
