Dangit.. I voted wrong... I meant "corporation" as they usually bring in profit from their websites, and the programmer(s) should be payed proportionally.

VBulletin, (for example, this board) is a tad pricey when you take into account the fact that some systems that are similar in capability are free ....

I guess we could ask JStarkey if any of his salary comes from the ads we see here ...

Hmm, I'm thinking Excite news, but they're not nearly as big as some others. Yahoo! perhaps?

Talk to Yahoo! and Excite ... this is where they are big .... 😉

Search engine

Hmm, don't know that many search engines are in PHP. Certainly portions of them could be. Google uses a lot of Python, so I've been told; are there other search engines? .... 😃

Why doesn't your list include "intranets" or "business related web applications...."? I think that PHP could make some inroads here.

And then there's "server administration," but AFAIK you don't sell those scripts, just do 'em yourself....
