how the get ELSE IGNORED correct?

sorry i din know how to pharse this
this came out of my own

i couldnt get this right

AND x.mob_mvp LIKE '$mvp' ELSE IGNORED

this table_B_column is joined from table_A
Table_B 505 rows
Table_A 509 rows
Join on a index_id
but that 4 rows in table_A couldn't display
if theres none on table_B
is there a way to FORCE display info of A even though table_B_ certain ID doesnt exist

here is the minimize quary
FROM ro_mob r
LEFT JOIN x_mob x ON x.mob_idx = r.mob_id
LEFT JOIN c_mob c ON c.mob_idc = r.mob_id
WHERE
mob_race LIKE '$race'
AND x.mob_mvp LIKE '$mvp'

LEFT OUTER JOINS will take data from the left table in the event there is no matching data in the right table...

Your LIKE statement is also incorrect...

AND x.mob_mvp LIKE '$mvp' ELSE IGNORED

need to have wildcards '%' to match whole thing...as you have it now, you need to match the entire string in the quotes...

ELSE IGNORED should be handled by tightening up the where clause to exclude those elements

I just tried Failed thou

FROM ro_mob r <---------is this left?
LEFT OUTER JOIN x_mob x ON x.mob_idx = r.mob_id
AND mob_mvp LIKE '%$mvp%' <-------------Deafult 0 if emtpy submit is 0 if checked value is 1

now i have 509 lines on r
now i have 508 lines on x

but that particular line still cannot display

Nothing difference about the line
is i deleted the line to try out, what if main table is missing referer
at sub table

main_table 1~509 ID
SUB_table 1~508 ID

sometimes it really taking up time to add that particular row

what if main ID increase till 700
and i have no time to update that subtable where it fancy names
like main table show
REAL NAme

Sub table is Fancy name i given them

so i wanted to display the main reguarding it has sub anot
AND mob_mvp LIKE '%$mvp%' <-----this line cause it

if i remove this line even sub table have 1 line of data
result is still 509 lines
but if i added this line
if sub table have 1 data
result is 1 data

if it possible to include this line but display as usual?
