how to set up a chron job to back up database

Hey guys, I cant seem to find in the mysql manual the command line syntax to initiate a cron job. I want to place a chron job to backup my sql database every night around 5 am and was hoping someone can give either give me the command line to use, or give me a link where its located in the manual, its killing me that I can find it out on my own.

cron job is not a mysql feature. it is an OS feature on *nix OSes. Look in your OS documentation and you should find it.
