PHP in Dreamweaver MX need to know how to creat a data imput screen and store the dat

I have never used PHP or MYSQL beforand I realy need some help creating a form that will have an Email adress added into it along with a coment.

This needs to be stored somwhere on the website but ~I have no idera on how to do any of this.

I have looked all over the web but no whre tellse me exsactly how to do this only about it

Can anyone help or give me a steep by steep guide on how to do this?

I just migrated to PHP MySQL in Dreamweaver myself. I am also new.

To get started I set a new Dreamweaver site using PHP MySQL as the Server technology.

NOTE: This assumes you have PHP and MySQL established on your site and have set up your MySQL database.

I am using my system as a 'localhost' and everything seems to work exactly as it did in ASP.

thanks but I must admit I dont know how to set up a MySQL database ethere help with that would be helpfull too

Are you using your Web page development computer as your testing server also?

If yes,
visit the MySQL site and download all the files applicable to your system. (Don't forget the GUIs, they are quite helpful) Once downloaded, install them

Make sure PHP is installed on the Testing server as well. Visit PHP.net for those files.

If No,

Make sure the Testing server Administrator has setup MySQL and PHP.

Once these are installed, set up your database using the MySQL GUIs.

This took me about a week to research and get these both loaded correctly. (long hours)

There is a great deal of tutorial info out there. The one that helped me the most was.

NOTE: Don't forget the GUIs, Mascon is a good one. You can get this one at www.scibit.com
