order of elements in php.ini?

Does anyone know if the order of elements in php.ini needs to remain strictly as it is, or can I move things around, like common things I might change?

I don't think it does; the entire file is parsed before PHP scripts are compiled.

But I can't say I'm an authority; plus, the documentation doesn't seem to indicate, does it?

Copy your original one, and hack together the one you want; then give it a try .... 😃
