passing values

Hi,

I have just completed a program on my laptop...it works perfectly on my laptop but when i transfered it to the server it doesn't work.....It is not passing my values from one page to another...

On my first page i have a login......

But neither the username or password are gettin passed onto the second page...which will not display without $username or $password....

Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong with it...have I to change the php.ini file or something........

Read this forum's FAQ (and the PHP manual) on register globals, and using the $GET, $POST and $_COOKIE superglobal arrays instead.

would it help if i turned on register_globals in the php.ini file

It might.

But that isnt the 'correct' way of doing it.

The correct way would be to not use such incoming variables, but use the superglobal arrays instead.
