write a txt file

I have a query...

Let say, I have a script to output some data from MySQL then use the "print" or "echo" command to output the date on the browser.

I am wondering is it possible to get the output on the browser and save it as a .txt file to my "local PC" ... (NOT SAVE ON THE SERVER)

your local pc must also have a firewall and OS must be running on Linux or NT server

Eh? I just thought your browser would need a "Save Page As" menu item....

of course I knew there're "Save As" option from the menu bar....
what I want to do is to use SCRIPT to generate a txt file contains the information which is displayed on the browser!!!!

you dont need all of that.. all you need to do is just use the header( ) function to make it download in to your system
