A few months ago I wrote a little script to check an email account and forword ones from certain senders to my cell phone.
Well I used to be able to use the connect string "{localhost:143/imap}INBOX" That worked for a while, then the imap server or something was updated and I spent a few hours trying to figure it out, I had to change it to "{localhost:143/notls}INBOX".
Well, it's a few months later and surprise the damn thing stopped working at around 9pm last night and for the hell of me I can't figure out what I need to change it to now.
The server is Debian Unstable with the php4 package and uw-imapd. This is what the syslog displays for a connection using notls which used to work:
Apr 23 10:27:04 gummy imapd[25549]: connect from localhost
Apr 23 10:27:04 gummy imapd[25549]: imap service init from 127.0.0.1
Apr 23 10:27:04 gummy imapd[25549]: Logout user=??? host=localhost [127.0.0.1]
That's the same thing I got the first time it stopped working. I'm supply ing a username, why does it say user=???
Any help would be greatly appreciated
