Hi all! I've run a search on the forums for both 'pdf' and 'fpdf', but haven't found the answer quite yet - apologies if I simply didn't search deep enough into the results, but here goes -
My company wants a project management system run off a database, with a pdf interface. Obviously, I can collect data from a pdf and put it into a db just fine, and I was thinking that on-the-fly creation of the pdf form as offered (I hope) by the fpdf library would be the answer for the return presentation. (I would just save the .pdf on the server and call it done - everyone has a full copy of Acrobat - but I need to autoincrement a project ID field...) Now, my question is - can I create a pdf form on the fly with fpdf? With combo boxes, radio boxes, post-it notes (whatever they actually call the sticky notes in Acrobat)? It seems that the documentation for fpdf steer pretty strictly toward just text, image, and rectangle creation.
I'm sure at least someone here has created an advanced .pdf form dynamically from php in the past - any place to start looking for tutorials or hints on how to get it working would be greatly appreciated.
