calling functions?

Hello,

I need to call a function when a link is clicked, lets say that we got this link:

<a href="http://www.google.com" target="_blank">Google</a>

When i click it i need to call a function at the same time. Example:

function hello(){

}

How can this be done?

create your own link redirect page:

<a href="link.php?url=www.google.com">Google</a>

then in link.php:

function hello() {...do something..}
hello();
header ('location: http://' . $_GET['url']);

I forgot to mention that that will not for urls that look like this:

google.com/index.php?id=something&another=somthing

using $_GET['url'] here will only give me this peace of the url:

google.com/index.php?id=something

thats basicly my problem...
