[Resolved] undefined offset

Hey I just solved a problem on another thread and then ran into this next one.
Undefined offset: 1 in c:\etc\etc\ on line 46.

Line 46 is

while($cats[$z] != "")

Before it I have a $z= 0; and then in the loop i have $z++;
$z = $z +1; still gives the error. As I mentioned before this works fine on the net server but not on the localhost server.

Another quirk on the localhost/my computer server is that variables in the URL aren't passing. Any ideas?

Both problems might be related to register_globals

Read this forum's FAQ for more information.
You'll probably need to code under the assumption that register_globals is set to Off, as that is default and is good practice anyway.

no i got the solution:

for ($z = 0; $z < count($cats); $z++) 
{ 
// Code 
}

The URL was not passing because global variables was not turned on.

Probably your "local" server has a higher level of error reporting than your remote server. It's a "warning", not a "fatal error", right?

As to the other issue, how are you attempting to pass them ...? You aren't making newbie mistake A1*, are you?
