Get file names from folder?

Hello! 🙂

How can I please take the file names( the files are already uploaded) from a certain folder?

( I will store the names in a mysql db, it's pictures and I will add description etc to them, it's only pictures in that folder).

Something like this?

$dirname = ".";
$dh = opendir($dirname);

while (!(($file = readdir($dh))===false))
	{
	if (is_dir("$dirname/$file"))
		echo " ";
	echo "$file<br/>";
	}

closedir($dh)
?>

This will echo a list of files in the directory it's in . To change the directory just change $dirname.

öömm.. why don't you save the filename to your database, when the file is uploaded? 😉

They was uploaded with a FTP program. The client want it that way.
