Problems with not closing SQL?

This may need to go in the newb category but is there ever problems when you do not close a mySQL query. I usually just use the basic to fetch an array, but never do anything to close or release anything afterwords.

Is that going to pose a problem?

Generally, no, since the connection is closed and memory freed after the page is parsed by PHP, assuming you arent using mysql_pconnect().

Though if there is a particularly memory intensive query somewhere in the middle, [man]mysql_free_result/man might help.
