How would i go about searching through a variable (recieved from a textarea) and replace certain words (like bbcode, only differant)?
replace [realname] with John Doe which was in the database and now stored as $realname....
Ok, hope i didnt confuse you... anyways, I'm not asking you to code this for me.. i can do that... but im still a little new with php and just need to know the functions to use....
