What's with the downtime?

A day and a half? All the indicators I have here say it was down for about 12-14 hours. Appears to have started mid-evening last night.

When did you start noticing it?

A day and a half is long for what I saw. Started last night for me, around 6pm, through this morning, until about 9am.

Yeah, I had 7000 emails from the errors when I woke up this morning. Looks like they started at aroiund 7p. I sent a note to the admins at about 7 am and Byron had it fixed about an hour later.

Yeah, I saw the link to email, but I figured you were gonna be bombarded anyway. Any idea what the cause was (I'm nosey)?

It said it was unable to open one of the table files, so I figured it was a filesystem issue. The not I got back from Byron said the table was fixed. So I'm not entirely sure if it was just a table corruption, or a filesystem issue.

I'll ask him when/if he logs on tonight.

hmm. maybe my sense of time lapsed on me, but i didnt get back on until 12 noon (pst - that could make a difference) today. I don't remember exactly when it dropped out yesterday.

Ooh, only 7000 attempted hits in 12 hours? At least it shows we weren't all sitting at the keyboard hitting refresh and asking "is it up yet? Is it up yet? Is it up yet?" the whole time.

For me it was down all of yesterday (approx 8am - 5pm GMT)... or at least those are the times that I was checking it...

Thank god it's back now tho... I was getting withdrawl symptons tic

You mean I shouldn't have made that PHP script to run on a cron every 5 minutes and send me a email when it came up? 😉

I have to go to my lil cousin's first communion down there tomorrow. This should be interesting. I'm afraid the roof will cave in on me every time I step foot in a church 🙁
