cant view php

I am brand new to this, I am using Dreamweaver and I dont have IIS or apache server on my home computer, but the person who hosts my site states that he supports php, so does it still matter if I need IIS or apache or can i just upload it to my host in order to view my information correctly?

Yes, you can test your scripts remotely, though generally being able to test it locally can save your bandwidth.

If your host supports it then it will be allowed. Just set it up in dreamweaver to your remote site. And upload it. You can then view it on the directory you specified.
