Lost: mysql db backup?

Hi all,

Although I am sure this should be a very simple thing.. I cannot get my hands on this.

I try to make a backup facility.
I want to be able to create a backup of a whole database from a webpage. I have no clue how to get this going.

I think I need mysqldump, but I cannot get it to do anything. I suppose I need to passthru, but even with that, it seems to ignore my commands.

I hope somebody here can share some code & peraps some explanation on the code to get me going.

Hi Bastien,

Thanks for the link.
I still have the feeling I am on slippery ground, even with that script (Probably since i do not understand al the commands in it). I have not tried the script in the page (Too busy with other scripts, will get to it later this week). But if there are more / other suggestions I woul dbe very gratefull.
